Cell positioning
Challenge
Solar wafers have to be centralized and oriented accurately to be placed in the right position. Accurate positioning of the wafers helps to ensure the high quality and long life of the modules. But measurement has to be accurate and quick as the measured data is sent to a motion controller.
Solution
Omron offers vision systems with pattern matching of shape and colour contrast. The real time search allows positioning in fast production lines and the measured data can be sent quickly to a motion controller via Ethernet, serial I/F, USB or parallel I/F for quick positioning.
