Challenge
The interlock system protects operator and system from mechanical risks and other unsafe conditions.
On the other hand, machine operation needs to flexible to maintain efficient production. For instance, during partial maintenance, the machine needs to be operated without complete shutdown.
Solution
Omron offers flexible safety controllers enabling the complete machine to be stopped with an emergency shutdown switch and also just a part of the machine with a safety door-switch, saving wiring.
Safety input expansion can be added easily through wiring connections.
